Cristina Coco Photography bio picture

Welcome!

Thanks for finding my photography journal!  My name is Cristina Coco and I am a portrait photographer in the Westchester and Fairfield County area.

I love what I do.  I love what I do so much I left a very cool, high paced, world-traveling job in fashion to photograph kids. I know, I know, I must be nuts, right?  Well I hope this blog will give you an insight into why I left what some might call a dream job to run after a bunch of munchkins with my camera.

You'll notice that a lot of my images capture those kiddies looking straight at me, straight through the lens.  That is the shot I aim for at every session I do.  I love that moment when everything else fades away and that child really sees me.  Only a kid can naturally look at you like that - most adults can seem posed or even look away in embarrassment.  A child can look straight through you and capturing that moment for parents - that look that they know so well? Well, that is why I love to do this so much.

So enjoy my little neck of the web - I hope that it helps you get to know me a little better and makes you comfortable about choosing me to capture your memories.

Parlez vous francais? ~cristina coco larchmont photographer, westchester maternity photographer, maternity family photography NY, child photographer westchester~

I don’t.  Well, except for a few years in high school where I was once called a French wizard by Madame W, I’m afraid my foreign language skills are severally lacking. Raphaelle and her family are French Canadian, and just moved here less than a year ago.  Both parents speak English perfectly, but their daughter...

New Friends…

My Grandmother used to say, “Make new friends, but keep the old, for one is silver and the other gold…”  I’ve kind of lived that as a motto when it comes to friends. I’ve never had a problem meeting people and am not shy, but I am not the sort who makes new close friends...

Blog Love ~Cristina Portale Coco, Photographers Westchester, Family Photographer Westchester, Greenwich Family Photographers, Christine Coco,~

I’ve been away, and when I go away so does my love for my blog.  Poor little blog, he really doesn’t get the respect he deserves.  I had this session over a week ago but it hadn’t been posted.  That’s a total shame, because these kids are too adorable not to share with you. I’ll...

For Aimee, a little late ~ Rye Photographer Cristina Coco~

What a couple of weeks I’ve had.   I’ve been busy, busy, busy, and all the families I’ve been lucky enough to work with have been wonderful! Meet Aimee’s family – they are new to Rye and just as nice as can be.  I hope they like living here as much as I do!  Here’s a...

Maternity session with Trisha ~Greenwich Connecticut Maternity and family Photographer Cristina Coco~

Trisha and I could not get this session done.  Rain, rain, rain and we had to re-schedule so many times our heads spun. Finally we got it going, and it was a beautiful day.  Perfect day to take some maternity pictures!  We went both inside and out, and that sun coming through the windows were...

Real Beauty ~Rye portrait photography, Rye Child photographer, Rye, NY childrens photographer, Cristina Coco~

At one point during our session, this little one was not in the mood to get her portrait taken.  It happens sometimes, especially when kids get a little over age 5, they become aware of the camera a little more and I have to break through them a little. Sometimes though, sometimes a pout is...

A little reunion… ~NYC baby and family photographer, Cristina Coco~

During college I lived with 5 guys and another girl.  I can’t really remember how it happened, but somehow I ended up living with a good part of my school’s football team.  I know, my dad wasn’t thrilled…  Funny enough, he should have been happy.  It was like I had 5 brothers looking out for...

Introducing Ella… ~Westchester newborn, baby, family photographer Cristina Coco~

This baby was SO adorable.  And so big!  She is only 7 days old but you would think she was 3 weeks old – I loved her round, perfect cheeks and big eyes. She made mom and I work – she was so hungry we had to stop and feed her a bunch, but it...

Introducing Kiara ~Greenwich, Ct newborn baby photographer, Cristina Coco~

Hello Kiara!  It was so nice meeting you today. What a beautiful day it was – we actually got to go outside a little bit!  Finally! Although you wouldn’t guess from these pictures, somebody didn’t want to sleep today.  We caught a few shut eyes here and there – some of my favorites! Thanks for...

Sweet things ~Cristina Coco Photography, Christina Coco, Westchester Family Photographer, Fairfield Family Photographer~

Ok, it’s official.  This weather stinks.  I’m so sick of gloomy days, rain filling my basement (on my birthday no less…), I’m DONE. All my sessions have had to be moved around, and even the rain dates are needing rain dates these days.  It’s going to be a hectic week and the weather today isn’t...
