Cristina Coco Photography bio picture

Welcome!

Thanks for finding my photography journal!  My name is Cristina Coco and I am a portrait photographer in the Westchester and Fairfield County area.

I love what I do.  I love what I do so much I left a very cool, high paced, world-traveling job in fashion to photograph kids. I know, I know, I must be nuts, right?  Well I hope this blog will give you an insight into why I left what some might call a dream job to run after a bunch of munchkins with my camera.

You'll notice that a lot of my images capture those kiddies looking straight at me, straight through the lens.  That is the shot I aim for at every session I do.  I love that moment when everything else fades away and that child really sees me.  Only a kid can naturally look at you like that - most adults can seem posed or even look away in embarrassment.  A child can look straight through you and capturing that moment for parents - that look that they know so well? Well, that is why I love to do this so much.

So enjoy my little neck of the web - I hope that it helps you get to know me a little better and makes you comfortable about choosing me to capture your memories.

Holiday Season Update {Holiday Portraits, Westchester and Fairfield Photographer Cristina Coco}

Please don’t think I haven’t posted because it’s been quiet around here.  Quite the opposite, and with every family I meet I am more and more grateful for the amazing job I have! Yes, it’s here – the fall portrait season has begun!  I’m sure fall has seeped into your life too – the crazy...

I’ll always love Cape Cod… ~Westchester Family Photographer Cristina Coco~

I have about three Cape Cod sessions to post and I think I’ve been slow about it because I just miss it so much.  It sort of pains me to look at them.  I miss being able to walk to the water every day, drag my kayak out my garage and within minutes I’m in...

Parlez vous francais? ~cristina coco larchmont photographer, westchester maternity photographer, maternity family photography NY, child photographer westchester~

I don’t.  Well, except for a few years in high school where I was once called a French wizard by Madame W, I’m afraid my foreign language skills are severally lacking. Raphaelle and her family are French Canadian, and just moved here less than a year ago.  Both parents speak English perfectly, but their daughter...

Sweet things ~Cristina Coco Photography, Christina Coco, Westchester Family Photographer, Fairfield Family Photographer~

Ok, it’s official.  This weather stinks.  I’m so sick of gloomy days, rain filling my basement (on my birthday no less…), I’m DONE. All my sessions have had to be moved around, and even the rain dates are needing rain dates these days.  It’s going to be a hectic week and the weather today isn’t...

Beautiful blues {westchester, Bronxville child photographer}

Hope that everyone had a great Father’s Day!  It was a hot one here, but managed to navigate around that on Friday with this beautiful group! Had such a great time with this family.  I’ve seriously been so blessed with consistently amazing and cool clients and these guys were no exception!  Especially a margarita after...

Another 3!

I’ve decided that three is the new two in Westchester when it comes to kids!  I swear I have more three children families booked for this summer than any other amount! I’ve been a bit busy and my poor old blog has been a bit neglected.  I actually was away in Texas for a week...

Lucky number 3

I seem to do A LOT of three children families.  And I love it!  I think the kids are quicker to open up to you, and they are a little quicker to show you their individual personalities.  Maybe it’s just because they are used to having a lot of different people around, or maybe they...

The tale of the traveling skirt.

Or one that should have traveled anyway!  I met these two sweethearts in my son’s music class last year.  They are both really sweet girls and pretty friendly, so Mom and I were surprised when the little one wasn’t really a happy camper starting out.  Turns out, we had put her in a jean skirt...
