Thanks for finding my photography journal! My name is Cristina Coco and I am a portrait photographer in the Westchester and Fairfield County area.

I love what I do. I love what I do so much I left a very cool, high paced, world-traveling job in fashion to photograph kids. I know, I know, I must be nuts, right? Well I hope this blog will give you an insight into why I left what some might call a dream job to run after a bunch of munchkins with my camera.

You'll notice that a lot of my images capture those kiddies looking straight at me, straight through the lens. That is the shot I aim for at every session I do. I love that moment when everything else fades away and that child really sees me. Only a kid can naturally look at you like that - most adults can seem posed or even look away in embarrassment. A child can look straight through you and capturing that moment for parents - that look that they know so well? Well, that is why I love to do this so much.

The Big Picture

A sneak peek from an extended family session. I was lucky enough to have a session with 11 lovely people, and more importantly their AMAZING kids who were so polite and sweet I wanted to take them all home. Oh, and did I mention that each one was cuter than the next? When I do a extended family like this it’s basically like two mini sessions – so not as many outfit changes, etc. Somehow I end up taking a ton of pictures anyway, especially when clients are so nice!

This is A LOT to see for a preview, but there are too many families involved not to show one of each kiddo…

Family number one! Cute little one and a half year old that is a BIG fan of wheels on the bus. Thank goodness it’s my specialty!

This amazing 16 year old was so smart and so amazing. We totally hit it off. I noticed on the info sheet that she had the same birthday as my brother – I love Taurus girls!!

Family number TWO!

So much personality and confidence in this little one. I love her attitude.

This one reminded me of me when I was her age. A little shy, but knows exactly what’s up… Those EYES are killer too!

Do I need to say anything about this guy? Hearts will be breaking in about 3 years… Poor mom! So polite, even though he didn’t really want to get his picture taken. What 13 year old boy does? I love how he is looking down a little mischievously - totally fits the age.
